Egypt’s Agricultural Exports Hit Record 7.5 Million Tons of Produce in 2025

Egypt’s agricultural exports have reached a record high in 2025, exceeding 7.5 million tons of fresh produce, a milestone that highlights the country’s growing position as a leading fresh produce exporter.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year’s total marks an increase of nearly 650,000 tons compared to 2024, driven by better farming practices, improved cold-chain logistics, and strict export compliance with EU and Middle Eastern standards.

Citrus fruits led Egypt’s exports with over 1.9 million tons, followed by potatoes, onions, beans, grapes, mangoes, and pomegranates. This diversity reflects the strength of Egyptian fruits and vegetables and the country’s ability to meet global quality requirements while maintaining consistency across seasons.

Behind this success lies a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Precision irrigation, residue testing, and post-harvest quality control have become standard across Egypt’s major farms and exporters. Investments in temperature-monitored transport and modern packaging solutions ensure produce arrives fresh and traceable, reducing waste and reinforcing buyer confidence.

Egypt has also expanded its global footprint, exporting to more than 150 countries. New markets in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe have boosted demand and reduced dependence on traditional destinations. This diversification, along with rising global interest in healthy, traceable food, is shaping Egypt’s future as a trusted agricultural partner.

At Max Mark, we are proud to contribute to this progress, growing, packing, and exporting produce that reflects Egypt’s quality, sustainability, and commitment to excellence.
